Gate 4-Wire Hydraulic Ferrule is a hose crimping ferrule designed for Gates® 4-wire spiral hydraulic hoses, used to secure hose assemblies for high-pressure fluid transfer in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems.
Designed for 4-Wire Hose Construction
Developed for compatibility with 4SP, 4SH and equivalent 4-wire spiral hose structures, supporting proper reinforcement compression during crimping.
The ferrule profile is designed to maintain hose holding force under hydraulic pressure and repeated pressure cycling after crimping.
The crimp area is designed to distribute compression across reinforcement layers and reduce localized over-compression during assembly.
Suitable for Heavy-Duty Hydraulic Service
Commonly applied in hydraulic hose assemblies operating up to 420 bar (6,000 PSI) depending on hose specification and fitting combination.
Cold-Drawn Tube Production
Ferrules are produced from cold-drawn steel tubing with wall thickness tolerance controlled within ±0.10 mm to support crimp consistency.
Critical internal dimensions are machined with diameter tolerance maintained within ±0.05 mm for repeatable crimp performance.
Ferrule openings are chamfered and deburred to reduce hose cover damage during insertion.
Zinc-nickel plated versions are verified to achieve 720+ hours neutral salt spray resistance (ASTM B117).
Production batches are linked to raw material and inspection records before shipment.
